Sally Roush Brown Scholarship
The Sally Roush Brown Scholarship was established to pay tribute to former teacher and Board of Education member Sally Roush Brown. The Brown Family has developed this scholarship to award a graduating student of Fairmont High School, who has exhibited leadership qualities with a $6,000 scholarship payable in annual installments of $1,500 a year.

To be eligible for consideration, the applicant must:
- Be a graduating senior from Fairmont High School.
- Be accepted at an accredited two or four-year college or university or a two-year technical school*.
- Submit a completed application form and include the following attachments:
A list of school activities as required on the application.
Essay on the topic "Leadership and what it means to me".
Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or greater.
Two recent letter of recommendation from a teacher, guidance counselor, coach, community or church leader.
Criteria for selection include: participation in school, essay, GPA and recommendations.
Size and frequency of the Sally Roush Brown Scholarship. One scholarship gift of $1,500 a year for four years will be offered annually; However, the Sally Roush Brown Scholarship Selection Committee may elect to change the amount or number of scholarships award; or not to award a scholarship if, in its judgment, a suitable candidate cannot be identified.
Use of the Sally Roush Brown Scholarship. The Sally Roush Brown Scholarship may be used for tuition, room/board and related educational expenses.
Payment. Payment will be made directly to the institution’s financial offices. In the case that the award is being used for books then the payment will be made directly to the student upon receipt of official store receipt showing purchase of books.
Renewal Requirements. To receive funding for second, third or fourth years of the scholarship the recipient must:
- Be enrolled as a "full-time" student at an accredited two year, four year or technical school. (Definition of full time will be determined by the requirements of the institution that the individual is attending).
- The individual must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater.
- A SCHOLARSHIP RENEWAL FORM must be filed with the KEF office no later than June 1, and include copies of transcripts showing the GPA and proof of enrollment.

Ray Albrecht Scholarship
The Ray Albrecht Scholarship was established by the family of Ray Albrecht as a memorial tribute to the hard work and dedication that he showed in all aspects of life, and his commitment to sending eleven kids and six grandkids through the Kettering City School System. The scholarship will benefit individual’s graduation from the Fairmont Alternative Program who has demonstrated a hard work ethic and substantial academic improvement.
One scholarship with a minimum gift of $1,000 will be offered annually. The Scholarship may be used for tuition, room /board and related educational expenses.

To be eligible for consideration, the applicant must:
- Be a graduating senior from Fairmont High Schools Alternative School.
- Be accepted at an accredited two or four-year college or university or a two-year technical school*.
- Submit a completed application form and include the following attachments:
A list of school activities as required on the application.
A list of jobs held during school year and average hours worked as required on the application. Show a significant improvement in GPA between first three years and senior year.
Maintain a part or full time job for the majority of the school year.
Two recent letter of recommendation from a teacher, guidance counselor, coach, community or church leader.
Criteria for selection include: participation in school, work, GPA improvement and recommendations.
Size and frequency of the Ray Albrecht Scholarship. One scholarship with a minimum gift of $1,000 will be offered annually; However, the Ray Albrecht Scholarship Selection Committee may elect to change the amount or number of scholarships award; or not to award a scholarship if, in its judgment, a suitable candidate cannot be identified.

The Chief’s Scholarship
The Chief’s Scholarship was established by former officers of the Kettering Indian (Adventure) Guides and Princess Programs. The Chief’s Scholarship was founded to continue the bond between fathers and their sons/daughters that was established in the K – 5th Grade Indian (Adventure) Guide and Princess Program sponsored by the Kettering South Community YMCA.
Two $750 scholarships will be offered annually; one to a former Indian Guide and one to a former Indian Princess.

To be eligible for consideration, the applicant must:
- Be a graduate of the Indian (Adventure) Guide or Princess Program sponsored by the Kettering South Community YMCA (documentation may be requested).
- Be a graduating high school senior or full-time college undergraduate student at an accredited two or four-year college or university or a two-year technical school*.
- Be accepted at an accredited two or four-year college or university or a two-year technical school*.
- Submit a completed application form and include the following attachments:
A list of school activities as required on the application.
A list of community services activities as required on the application.
An essay describing the impact of the Indian (Adventure) Guide or Princess Program on your life as required on the application.
One recent letter of recommendation from a teacher, guidance counselor, coach, community or church leader.
Criteria for selection. Applicant's) who best represent the ideals, goals and AIMS of the Indian (Adventure) Guide/Princess program through the description of their school and community service activities, the essay and the letter of recommendation.
Size and frequency of the Chief’s Scholarship. Two $750 scholarships will be offered annually; one to a former Indian (Adventure) Guide and one to a former Indian (Adventure) Princess. However, the Chief’s Scholarship Selection Committee may elect to change the amount or number of scholarships award; or not to award a scholarship if, in its judgment, a suitable candidate cannot be identified.
Use of the Chief’s Scholarship. The Chief’s Scholarship may be used for tuition, room/board and related educational expenses. Checks shall be made out to the College/Technical School in the recipient’s name.

Mary Lou Holland Scholarship
Established by Mary Lou Holland to assist a graduating Fairmont Senior that was also a graduate of her Beavertown Elementary class. The Award is a $1,000 one year scholarship and will be given to a student that has a combination of high GPA, is active in the community and school, and shows a financial need.

- Be a graduate of Beavertown Elementary and have attended Mary Lou Holland’s class.

Last years tax returns for the entire household. If parents are separated or file separately both tax
returns must be submitted.

The Thom & Penni Meyer Scholarship
The Thom & Penni Meyer Scholarship was established by Nick O’Donnell family to pay tribute to Thom & Penni Meyer and the profound impact that they had on his life and the many other students they have taught through the years. The award is a $500 one-year scholarship and will be judged on financial need, community activities, their essay and photographic portfolio.

The Cookie Weeks Scholarship
Established by Cookie Weeks to assist a graduating Fairmont Senior that was also a graduate of her Beavertown Elementary class. The Award is a $1,000 one year scholarship and will be given to a student that has a combination of high GPA, and is active in the community and school.
Scholarship Criteria:
- Be a graduating senior from Fairmont High School.
- Be a graduate of Beavertown Elementary and have attended Cookie Weeks’s class.
- Be accepted at an accredited two or four-year college or university or a two-year technical school*.
- Not have been awarded an athletic scholarship.
Criteria for selection: applicant(s) who show combination of high GPA, is active in the community and their school, and essay.
Size and frequency of the Cookie Weeks Scholasrhip: One $1,000 scholarship will be offered annually; However, the Cookie Weeks Scholarship Selection Committee may elect to change the amount or number of scholarships award; or not to award a scholarship if, in its judgment, a suitable candidate cannot be identified.

The Charles R. Craig Scholarship
The Charles R. Craig Scholarship was created as a memorial tribute to Kettering Fairmont educator and band director Charles Craig. One $500 scholarships is offered annually to a graduating senior of Fairmont High School, who is involved in the music program. The award may be applied to tuition, room and board and other related educational expenses at an accredited two or four year college, university or trade school.
Scholarship Criteria:
- Be a graduating senior from Fairmont High School.
- Be a member of the Fairmont Music Department.
- Have a minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
- Be accepted at an accredited two or four-year college or university or a two-year technical school*.
Criteria for selection: applicant(s) who show combination of Essay, Financial need, and music department involvement, GPA, and activities.
Size and frequency of the Charles R. Craig Scholarship Fund: One $500 scholarship will be offered annually; However, the Charles R. Craig Scholarship Selection Committee may elect to change the amount or number of scholarships award; or not to award a scholarship if, in its judgment, a suitable candidate cannot be identified.
Use of the Charles R. Craig Scholarship: The Charles R. Criag Scholarship may be used for tuition, room/board and related educational expenses.
